Today I’ll be guest writing a column for Salon. It’s a daily rundown of women’s issues in the media, with a few twists and opinions thrown in the mix. To check it out, go here (if you aren’t a Salon member, you’ll have to watch a short ad to get a free day pass – it’s painless, I’ve been doing it for years).

Also, a general note to the bevy of media-savvy, well-informed internet junkies that make up my readership: Feel free to pass along anything you see today that strikes you as interesting, pisses you off, leaves you ecstatic, or just catches your eye. It can range from abortion laws passed in Egypt to date rape legislation in Texas to in-depth articles about all the horrible things that will happen to women who work full-time/get divorced/wait ’til their 30s to have babies/have abortions/etc, or virtually anything on love or marriage in the New York Times. You can send all links to opinionistas@gmail.com.

Oh, and if you happen to see a piece in Forbes called something like “Why All Career Women Should Be Sterilized,” or anything written by Michael Noer, shoot it over ASAP.
